Out of Religion and into Reality!, L. W.

I was born into Christianity, saved at the age of 17, and baptized that same year. Afterwards, I read the Bible, especially the New Testament, several times. But the denomination I was a part of did not seem to match what I read. After searching in several other denominations, I concluded that the church I read about did not exist. I did not know anything existed outside of denominations except religion, so I told the Lord “I am not leaving You. I am just leaving denominations. I can't find a church that matches the New Testament.”

One month later I began Spanish classes at the university. My first friend was a Christian sister. When she mentioned the Lord I told her that I was a sister also, and she invited me to a dinner with some believers who met with the local church. The Lord is so faithful. I was actually telling Him that I could not find Him, and He said “Here I am!” He is all I saw in those believers that night. He showed me that He was a real Person living inside of me, not just an emotion or a religious idea with no life and enjoyment.

As I've read the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, everything just makes sense. I've learned that I am a tripartite being created in the image and likeness of my Triune God (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Genesis 1:26). I can contact, contain, and experience Him in my innermost part, my human spirit. Praise the Lord for the local church and for such a ministry!
